FAQ - General
How can I book a shoot?
Customers can finalise the package from the website or from the rate card shared. After liaising with each other, a convenient date and time slot can be booked by paying the booking advance.

What follows after we book the shoot?
There will be a pre-shoot discussions to guide you on any queries / doubts about the preparations to be done.
On the day of the shoot by the time you reach the studio the selected themes will be set up. Our studio facilitates setting up of 3 baby themes and 2 special setups simultaneously. This avoids wastage of time during the photoshoot and makes the process stress free.

The photoshoot will progress as per the participation of the baby. A theme will take around 10 to 15 minutes for preparing baby for the session and 20-30 minutes of engaging baby for expression. Hundred of photos will have to be taken for getting the best expression of baby.
​
After the photoshoot we will shortlist the photos and group them based on the quality of expression and body language. This step makes it easier for the parent to do the final selection.
​
The shortlisted photos will be converted to ‘sample before edits’ (low resolution water marked images) and will be shared on an online drive through mail within 5 working days. Parents can choose their favourite expression and confirm the file numbers to be edited.
​
The shortlisted photos will be taken for editing and the finished photos will be delivered within 16 days from the date of confirmation.
​
Please note the selection of images by parents are done for all sessions other than Newborn and Maternity. On request sample before edit can be shared for newborn and maternity photoshoots as well.
What do you mean by a setup/theme?
Setup or theme is the ambience that is created for the frame to be photographed. It includes concept, the background, floor, props and the lighting methods. For senior portrait sessions, dress change and styling change is treated as an additional setup.

What all does the session time include?
Session time includes setting up the theme, lighting the frame, posing the baby, feeding the baby if required, costume changes if any and actual photography time.
​
Are you open on all days?
We are open all days, all sessions and personal meetings are done on appointment.
What is your service/product delivery time?
The final edited photos will be shared within 22 days.
In case of urgent requirement, please discuss at the time of booking itself.
What is your payment term/plan?
Advance Rs 5000 + home session charges if any, at the time of booking.
Balance payment on the day of shoot.
100% advance for any special print jobs like printing on canvas, photo paper, album, calendar etc.
What all payment modes do you accept?
We accept Electronic transfers, cash and G-pay.
Card swiping facility is NOT available.
Can we reschedule or cancel a booked photo shoot?
Yes, one time rescheduling is possible and won't invite any additional charges, 2nd time rescheduling will be treated as cancellation. Rescheduling has to be informed 24hours before the day of shoot else it would be treated as cancellation. On cancellation, advance paid and special prop charges if any are non refundable.

If bliss photoart cancels our photoshoot because of some unforeseen emergency, what are our claims?
We generally don’t cancel a booked photo session, but in case of any personal emergencies or any natural/social calamities (e.g. flood/harthals) or government orders (e.g. corona lockdown) we may have to cancel a session.
In such case, you can opt to reschedule the session on a mutually convenient date or opt for full refund of advance paid.
In case you are opting for refund, refund of the deposit paid will be done. No other claims or compensation will be entertained.
In which format and size will you deliver the photos?
Final edited Print size: JPEG- Longest Edge 7360 pixels – 240 pixels per inch

Final edited social media size: JPEG 2048 pixels – 240 pixels per inch

In some case the image has to be cropped while editing (eg Art series and Maternity portraits) This will change the dimentions of ‘print size’ images. However the file size will be sufficient for any normal print requirements for a family.

Do you provide printed copies as well?
Please note that our package cost does not include prints. However, we do facilitate prints and it can be bought separately.

How are the final edited photographs handed over?
We use a cloud-based transfer of all photographs. You will receive an email from us with a link to download the final edited photos with a time validity. You need to download the photos and save them to your personal drive or cloud-based service.
Due to security reasons, we do not connect external pen drives into our systems, hence delivery through USB/Pen drives is not facilitated.

Will raw images (images as clicked) be shared with the customer on request or extra payment?
We want to deliver our 'very best work' to our clients and audience. Photography is just one part of the whole process of creating artistically appealing images. Retouching of photos is an integral part of the process, many at times the photos are taken keeping edit in mind. The photos we share is a reflection of the quality of the work and brand image hence only the final edited images are shared.

Is it possible to take a lesser number of photographs (one or two) from what is mentioned in the listed packages and reduce the cost?
No, it is not possible. A certain time and effort is involved to setup themes, make arrangements, get the lighting perfect, get the right expressions etc. Number of photographs per shoot and the shoot time has been arrived based on this. We have created competitive packages in each category so that customers can pick according to their need and budget and we can also survive as a business.

Do you take orders for print?
We can facilitate for large size prints on canvas & photo paper through our associates. Framing of photographs, album creation and other possible options can be discussed during the pre-discussion / photo shoot and we will facilitate the same. The cost will be as per the rate card of our associates.
Can we use the photographs for advertisement?
For using the photographs in advertisements, additional copyright must be purchased. Kindly discuss for details.

Will the baby be comfortable in your studio?
Yes, our studio is custom designed for photographing babies. Little ones will be comfortable at our place. There is a feeding room and an attached restroom. The place is hygienic and cleaned before and after every session. The props are stored dust free. The dresses and hand held props are also UV sterilised. You can view the photos and walk through video of our studio on our main page and on top of this page.

If my baby does not cooperate for some reason with the shoot, will I be able to convert my booking to a lower package?
From our experience, we will be able to complete the shoot without much hassle. Extra time is allotted in your slot time to accommodate baby’s needs. If the baby is really upset for some reason and is not cooperating with the shoot, 50% rate for the theme attempted will be charged as session fees and edit charges will be billed additional based on the possible edits from the session. Reshoot on a different date will be treated as a fresh appointment.

This waiver is not offered if you are late for the session.

Are there any studio rules that we need to follow?
Taking pictures & videos on your mobile that interrupts the shoot will not be permitted.
Wearing shoes inside the studio is not allowed since toddlers and babies tend to move out freely and it is our priority to ensure hygiene. You may carry an extra pair of socks so that you are not barefoot.
For the family portrait and maternity session, people being photographed are allowed to wear shoes if the set demands it.

Is it possible to get more photos at the same cost if we are ready to compromise on the quality of the photos?
No, we focus on the quality of the photos rather than the quantity. We strongly believe that a few great pictures are much better than hundreds of pictures which gives no excitement. It is our policy that only final edited pictures will be shared as the pictures itself speak for us.

Is it necessary to have pre-shoot discussion. How do we have a pre-shoot discussion? Shall we have the discussion in the studio on the day of shoot?
Pre-shoot discussion is a very important part of our process as it gives an opportunity for us to understand your requirement and explain the different aspects of the shoot. We will also clarify your doubts. Pre-shoot discussion can be done over phone or through WhatsApp. We prefer the pre-shoot discussion before you book the session with us. Any additional or missed points shall be discussed when you come for the shoot.

Will you photograph functions or events?
No, we don’t photograph events. We are specialised in indoor new-born, child portrait, maternity and family portraits.
​
My child is not comfortable in front of the camera and does not know how to pose. Will you help him/her?
Yes, of course we will help your child. We understand that many kids are not comfortable with posing. We have experience in photographing many babies and we will be guiding you throughout the shoot and help in capturing your babies at their natural best. We suggest to come with an open mind and have patience through out the process as baby photoshoots are not easy.

IMAGE COPYRIGHT
I would like to get an idea about the copyright laws. Could you please explain?
The copyright of the photograph lies with the photographer as per both Indian and international rules. The copyright is applicable from the moment photo is created.
​
What are photography copyright laws?
Indian and international laws assign the copyright of the photograph to the creators of a photograph.
Buying a print or getting a shoot done does not give the client the right to the photograph until the copyrights are specifically purchased from the creator.
Under the Copyright Act, photographs are protected by copyright from the moment of creation.
Photographers have the exclusive right to reproduce their photographs.
Unless you have permission from the photographer, you cannot copy, distribute (no scanning and sending them to others), publicly display (no putting them online), or create derivative works from photographs.
Copyright infringements, reproducing photos without permission, can result in civil and criminal penalties.

Does this mean Bliss photoart will use our photos in any way they would like to?
We totally understand that not everyone is comfortable in posting photographs online or on any public platform. Hence, we take the consent of the client prior to posting photographs.

However, if we find the client passing negative remarks online or in public forums that affects our brand value, we might publish the image for audience to make an opinion.

Can I purchase the rights of the photograph?
Yes, you can purchase the right of the photograph. Please get in touch with us for details

I would not want to purchase the copy rights, what can / cannot I do?
Unless the rights of the photograph are purchased you cannot use the photographs for

FAQ - Maternity Memories
When is the best time to do the maternity shoot?
The best time to photograph your baby bump is between 7 to 8 months. During this time, your baby bump will be big and round and the photos will come out good. The glow in your face will have an added advantage on the photos. Maternity shoots can be done post 8 months also but you will be more tired during this time. We at bliss photoart have done maternity shoots even during the last week of pregnancy, however we suggest to do the session on time for a stress free experience.

When should I book my maternity session?
It is advisable to book the session at the earliest. Booking early guarantees availability of the slot. If you are already in your 8th month and have the desire to do a maternity shoot, please contact bliss photoart (8606567567) immediately and check availability of a slot.

How long does a session last?
The duration of the session depends on the package you opt and the time you spend for grooming at the studio. A normal maternity session at bliss photoart will take 1- 3 hours approximately.

Is it possible to include my husband and older kids for the maternity shoot?
Yes, definitely. We at bliss photoart strongly believes that it’s very important to capture the happy faces of your loved ones during this wonderful phase of your life.

q) What should I wear for the maternity shoot? Will you be providing the outfits if required?
You can bring your own outfit if you want or rent gowns / dresses from our collection. Gown charges are waived off in certain packages, pls chk the package details for rental details.
The outfit will have a good visual impact on the photos. You can either choose a western or a traditional outfit for the maternity shoot. It is always better to share the pictures of the outfit that you wish to wear so that we can also share our thoughts as how it would turn out in the final photos.

Yes, we at bliss photoart provide a decent collection of gowns which the customer can avail at a reasonable charge. The pictures of the gowns will be shared and the preferred dresses can be shortlisted as per your taste. Most of our gowns will fit medium to large size body frames. We have extra small and extra large gowns available in our collection too.
​
Depending on material the outfits will be washed / dry cleaned after every use (in case of any back to back shoot for the same gown and if there is no time for dry-cleaning, the same will be informed to you in advance so that you can take a decision whether to go for the same gown or for a different one).

If I am planning to wear the outfit provided by you, should I come to your place to try it? Will it fit me?
Don’t worry, our gowns are custom made and will fit people of different sizes. Hence you need not come for a trial. Minor corrections for any imperfection in fit, if any, can be done on edit. If you are very particular that you need a trial, please fix an appointment for the same and a cost will be applicable towards the maintenance (cleaning) of the gowns worn for the trial.

What are the things that I should keep in mind if I am wearing the gown available at studio?
Please keep in mind the following points regarding the outfit.
Inner wear: For using an off-shoulder gown, strapless bras in neutral colours such as black and nude are ideal.
Underarm pads: Underarm sweat pads will be provided for our gowns.
​
Family Outfits: Bring clothes for your children and spouse that matches with your dress or complement it, especially colour wise.
Matching accessories for the gowns are also provided. You can bring yours if you wish.
​

What preparations are to be done for the shoot?
We would recommend you do a good hair setting as it contributes towards the final images. Highend facial makeup is not required since our editing will take care of any flaws. Personal grooming will be sufficient. If you are looking for real stylised looks hiring a makeup artist is a good idea. 90% of the photos you see in our portfolio is personal grooming.

Is it possible to upgrade the shoot package during the time of shoot?
Yes, you can always upgrade the package, provided we have enough time to accommodate it depending on the next session. We suggest you to make your decision well in advance so that you don’t miss anything.
​

If I am tired during the shoot would you allow me to take a break in-between and is there any facility in the studio to take rest?
Yes, we have a guest lounge and attached rest room and you can use these facilities. We will be giving you breaks between each session and you are always welcome to ask for a break. The session time is also allocated factoring the buffer time required, so please reach the studio on time to use the extra time effectively. We might be having multiple sessions on a single day and time extension may not be possible outside the allotted slot.

You should also carry a few snacks along and take snack breaks if required.
Please be informed that our studio is on the first floor and you need to climb a flight of stairs.

Is there any extra charge if I need to do the shoot on a weekend?
No extra charge is applicable for booking a weekend, but there is great demand for weekends and are normally booked fast. In case you plan to schedule the shoot on a weekend you need to book the session at the earliest.

I prefer outdoor shoots; will it be possible to take a few photos out of doors as well?
Sorry, we don’t do outdoor maternity sessions.
​
Our style includes fine-art, classical and studio lifestyle casual poses. To get the desired result it has to be done in a controlled lighting environment using studio strobes and sets. We have customised our studio to beat the heat and make you feel as comfortable as possible.
​

Is there any chance for me to select the photos that are to be edited?
You can either leave the selection process to us or request for "sample before edit”. Our team at bliss photoart will be shortlisting the photos and "sample before edit” will be shared as per turnaround time.
In both options, once you confirm, it will be final and changes will be treated as additional edits and will be charged as per proposal.​

FAQ - Newborn Memories: Age 5days to 30 days
When is the ideal time to do a new-born photoshoot?
The ideal time to do a new-born photoshoot is between 7 and 20 days. During the 1st 3 weeks your baby remains asleep and is flexible, i.e. arms and legs curl up easily and holds the given poses. With every passing day, their sleep intensity reduces, and babies start developing their favourite positions. When moved or altered for posing this would make the baby alert if not in a deep sleep.
We at Bliss Photoart, can get wonderful images from 21 days to 45 days too. However, baby may not cooperate for all poses. The session will take more time as we have to wait for the baby to get back into a deep sleep. The effort on parents’ side will also be more as the baby tends to wake up frequently.
In short, it’s always advisable to do the session at the earliest if the baby’s health is good for a photo session. For parents who have to extend the session because of NICU or any other reasons, don’t worry... at Bliss Photoart we offer our new-born sessions up to 45 days.

My spouse is working abroad and won’t be able to come within the recommended time, please advise?
It's not a good idea to delay a new-born session. We would recommend to do the session within the recommended time and the family photos can be taken at a later date. There are certain conditions to accommodate such requirement so that our normal sessions are not affected, please contact Bliss Photoart (8606567567) for details.

My baby is premature and tiny. Will this have any impact on the shoot?
The activities of the baby are the factors that influence the shoot rather than their size. If your baby’s health is good for the shoot it is advised to proceed with the shoot instead of delaying it.

My baby is '50' days old. is it possible to do a new-born shoot now?
Yes, at Bliss Photoart we offer our service for babies above 30 days. The ideal age for a new-born session is over. Baby won’t cooperate for some styles and poses. However, we totally understand your desire to preserve fond memories for your little one. We do sessions for babies from 31 days to 60 days as well. When should I book my new-born photoshoot?
As a parent, it’s important that you understand the possibilities, styles etc. before booking a session.
It’s advisable to contact us during your pregnancy period and have a clear understanding of the various aspects of the new-born shoot so as to enable you to take the right decision. If baby is already born and you just came to know about us please contact us immediately (8606 567 567) for more details.
Considering the needs that comes along with a new-born baby, we totally understand that it’s not easy to fix a date for a photo session well in advance. At Bliss Photoart we also have our limitation in terms of number of sessions that can be done in a month.

You can follow either of the below options for booking the session.
a) Know the details well in advance by contacting us and finalise on the styles/ themes and packages. Based on your delivery date you can book and block a slot for the month. The date of the shoot can be finalised on a mutually convenient date after the baby is born and once you are settled with other priorities. By following this option, you can ensure that your slot is reserved for the month.

You can book the session once the baby is born and a mutually convenient date can be finalised for the photo session. The risk with the option is that if we are fully booked, we may not be able to accommodate your session.

What if my baby comes early or after my due date? How do I know what date to book?
By booking (paying the deposit) your session with us, your session gets priority on our schedule. That means, if baby comes early or late your baby is guaranteed a spot on our calendar. Our new-born sessions are limited per month to accommodate the various arrival dates. The date of the session will be finalised on a mutually convenient date.
How should I prepare for the new-born shoot?
Pre-shoot preparations shall be shared after booking the new-born photoshoot with us. Please note you need not buy anything for the session, the checklist is mostly what to do and what not to.

What are the new-born styles that you offer?
Our proposal has details of all styles and reference of the themes we offer. The product catalogue is displayed on this website too.

Will you provide the accessories/props/dresses required for the shoot? Should we arrange something?
We, at Bliss Photoaart will be proving all the necessary accessories and props required for the baby. You need not buy or arrange anything for the baby. The dresses for parents and siblings must be arranged by you.
Shall we suggest a theme / pose that is not in the list of themes shared by you?
Yes, if you are very particular about any specific theme outside our portfolio you may share the same with us well in advance so that we can discuss the possibility of having it done as well as the challenges and preparations needed. We will not be able to accommodate suggestions on the day of shoot.
For safety reasons, we will not be doing any poses outside our skill levels or the ones that makes the baby uncomfortable.
What would be the duration of the new-born session?
The approximate duration of a newborn shoot at Bliss Photoart varies form 2hrs to 4 hrs. The duration of the shoot depends on the co-operation and mood of your baby. If the baby is in a nice deep sleep, the session may end soon and vice versa. The package and themes selected will also have an impact on the duration. However please plan for a full day. Babies are unpredictable.

Where will the photoshoot take place?
The new-born photoshoots for babies less than 60 days shall be done either at your place (within a radius of 200 km from Kalamassery, Kochi) or at our studio at Kalamassery, Kochi. The photoshoot of babies above 60 days will be done in our studio only.

Can all of our family members accompany us for the new-born shoot?
New-born photography is just getting popular sometimes grandparents and other family members may have their worries about the concept. Bliss Photoart has years of experience in this field and we assure you that we will take care of your little baby. The baby’s safety and comfort comes first.
We require the freedom and privacy in the shoot room to get the desired results. It is recommended to restrict the family members to parents/siblings/grandparents/maid assisting you.

I want to take photos of baby with all our family members. Is it possible?
We would recommend you restrict the baby shoot to parents, siblings (grandparents if you desire to). It takes time to pose the baby and take an artistically appealing photo. Passing hands can make baby uncomfortable and unsettled and would not result in artistically appealing photos.
To discourage putting the babies through discomfort and ending up with poor results, there will be an additional charge for each additional member other than the mentioned members.
Can all of our family members accompany us for the photoshoot?
New-born sessions goes smoother and better in a calm and silent environment. Lesser the people, calmer the environment. Hence it is preferred to restrict the number of people accompanying for the shoot.
How do you keep your props/dresses/cloths hygienic?
Depending on the types of materials of the dresses/cloths we would either wash or UV sterilise them after every use. Each and every baby dresses and cloths are wrapped in separate bags and stored in closed cupboards to keep it safe from dust.

How safe is the photo session for the baby?
Our experience with 1500+ babies has given us the required skill for a safe session. On interacting with your baby, we will know which poses your baby will be comfortable in. Even on request we will not try any pose that makes the baby uncomfortable or that is beyond our skill level.
Many of the photos published on our website and social media are composite photos which ensures that the baby is supported all the time and is extremely safe. (i.e.: a photo combined from several photos, with the supporting hand removed while editing.)
I have read that harsh lights are not good for babies. What lights do you use for the photo session?
For the soft effect we, Bliss Photoart uses diffused studio lights of international standards. They are not harsh or harmful at all. These lights are soft and do not emit any kind of heat or radiation. Neither is it placed directly on the baby. In a new born shoot, photos would be taken when the baby is in deep sleep and hence the use of diffused studio lights will not have any impact on the baby.
How long after the session can we expect the photos? Will you be providing us all the photos clicked or any samples? Shall we select the photos to be edited?
We will be sharing the final edited photos within 22 days of the shoot.

My baby is 75 days old. I understand from the FAQ's that the ideal time for the new-born photoshoot is already over. Please guide what best can be done at this age?
Considering the activities of the baby at this age it is not an ideal time for a new born photoshoot. Baby will be awake most of the time and will be stretching out more. However, we totally understand your desire to preserve fond memories for your little one.
Based on the activities of babies of this age we have created a packages, as we feel it is better late than never.

FAQ - 61days to 5.5months
What type of photoshoot ideal for this age?
This is one of the trickiest age. Considering the activities of the baby at this age it is not an ideal time for a baby focused photoshoot. We suggest to opt for a special family setups for ideal results.
​
What is the reason for not recommending a baby focused theme based photoshoot for this age
Baby's in this phase of life have crossed the age for sleeping poses and the activities for doing a proper head-up session is still developing. Hence baby may not participate well towards the session and we may not get the desired result. However going for a special family setup is a good idea.
​

FAQ - Baby Headup Memories - 5.5 months to sitting
Do you provide dress for the baby? Shall we carry our dresses for the baby with us?
Yes, for every theme we launch we provide dress that will match the theme.
You can also use your dresses if you wish to. After the theme selection, you can share a photo of the dress with us, we will share our feedback on how it will turn out in the final artwork and accordingly a decision can be taken on the same.

We however encourage you to carry some shorts/jeans for the boys and simple, light coloured dresses of girls as a backup, in case our dress doesn’t fit your little one, which is very unlikely.
Matching dresses must be brought by you for the family photo.
​

Any preparation or make-up is required for the baby?
Babies skin will have a natural glow and babies look stunning without any artificial make-up. We at Bliss Photoart would say a 'NO’ for artificial make up (Kajals, talcum powders) as it will have a negative impact on the photo. Please bring the baby at his/her natural best. How do you select the theme for babies?
We at Bliss Photoart have created our themes based on the development and activities of babies. Relevant themes for your baby's age will be shared along with the proposal. You will have to confirm the theme selection prior to the photoshoot. The selected themes will be set prior to your arrival so as to avoid wasting time and to make best use of the baby’s good mood.
Selection of a theme on the day of shoot is not allowed as its not practical to approach the session without proper planning.

Is it possible to do baby portfolio at our home / hotels etc?
No, all shoots apart from the new-born / infant shoot (less than 60days) are done only at our studio at Kalamassery, Kochi. We do not undertake orders for baby portfolio outside the studio as its not practical to carry props/equipment and setup to our customer’s home or other locations.

What would be the approximate duration of the shoot?
Depending on the number of themes selected the shoot may extend from 1 to 3 hours. The mood and participation of the baby will have an impact on the duration of the shoot.

My baby is cranky and wants to sleep in between the shoot. Is it possible?
Yes, definitely. The output of the shoot depends on the comfort, mood and participation of the baby. If your baby is cranky and wants to sleep in between, you can use the privacy of our customer lounge. The session time is allocated considering all the buffer time. Please reach the studio on time to use the extra time effectively. We at bliss photoart will be having multiple sessions and time extension might not be possible.

Do you take walk-ins?
Baby photoshoots takes time. So, all our sessions are done on appointments only.
Even discussion meetings if needed are done based on appointments.

We have a good collection of the dresses and want to use all of them. Is it possible?
Dress changes are based on the number of themes you select. Frequent dress changes will make the baby cranky and might result in less appealing photos. Hence, we at bliss photoart would stick to the package offerings. After the theme selection, you can share a photo of your dress, we will share our feedback on how it will turn out in the final artwork.

Why do you do the family photo complimentary.
A great image needs good styling. So if you are a family who is keen on having great family photo we have special family setups which you can purchase. To get good results in those setups you also need to dress-up adequately for the theme. In our experience not all are keen on taking the efforts, hence we offer a good normal studio portrait complimentary with all our packages. These setups are possible with a decent personal grooming.

FAQ - Baby Sitter memories - sitting to 2years
Can you explain the products available for this age?
We have got three series of products for this age :-
​
Dreams Alive Series: This is our most vibrant series. It is all about character-based themes and stories. We came up with these themes based on kid’s common stories, characters and fantasies. The setups are relatively more complex than the other series, involving more props and range of colours. This will be a fun way to document your baby's childhood as they grow up.

Desire Series: Some prefer to have the photos very simple, with minimum props and more attention to the baby. The Desire series would help you meet this preference.
​​
Delight Series: These are simple setups but with more props and colours than the Desire series. The stories are simpler than the Dreams Alive series. These are for our clients who prefer simplicity with some vibrance.

Will you provide costumes for the photoshoot?
Yes, for every theme we launch we provide costumes that matches the theme.
You can also use your own dresses and costumes if you wish to. After the theme selection, you can share a photo of the dress with us and we will share our feedback on how it will turn out in the final artwork. Accordingly, a decision can be taken. However for cake smash we don't provide dresses as other clients may not be comfortable reusing a dress worn for cake smash. We wash / UV sterilise our dresses.
When is the ideal time for a toddler shoot?
The ideal time for a toddler shoot is from 8 to 15 months when innocence and cuteness is at its peak. Earlier the better. The initial days of sitting is very cute and babyes tend to be more participative during this phase.

Which theme should we select for our baby? Which is the best theme that you suggest?
Every theme we offer is different and unique. Each theme has its own charm and will be suitable for almost all babies. We recommend you go through our themes and select the one that you desire.
For a complete portfolio you can choose themes from Dreams alive, Delight and Desire.

How safe is the photoshoot for the baby, especially when they sit on elevated props?
Safety is very important for us. The baby is supported all the time and is extremely safe. An adult will be there with the baby at a safe distance throughout the session. The assistant and supporting hands will be removed in edit.
​
My baby has some pimples\moles on the face. Should we postponed the shoot so that it would heal?
Pimples/moles/marks can be removed during edit. You need not postponed the shoot.

My spouse is working abroad and won’t be able to come within the recommended time, please advise?
It's not a good idea to delay the toddler session. We would recommend to do the session within the recommended time and the family photos can be taken at a later date. There are certain conditions to accommodate such requirement so that our normal sessions are not affected, please contact Bliss Photoart (8606567567) for details.

My baby is very restless and naughty. How will you manage?
We will be giving your baby breaks between each session and you are always welcome to ask for a break. This usually keep babies calm. The session time is also allocated factoring the buffer time required, so please reach the studio on time to use the extra time effectively. We might be having multiple sessions on a single day and time extension may not be possible outside the allotted slot. We assure you that the pictures you get will reflect your child’s personality.

What preparations are to be done from our end for the shoot?
While coming for the shoot please bring the following:
Snacks
Baby wipes
Favourite song – the songs or videos that your child enjoy.

Shall I bribe my baby with his favourite treat to get his participation during the shoot?
Bribery is out - If you have a special treat planned for your child after the session please refrain from mentioning it during the session. Kids getting bribed or threatened with their “treat” stresses them out which results in restlessness. So, kindly do not bring it up during the shoot. Trust us, we can get the best out of your kid with your support and participation.
Giving mobile phones or other accessories to console babies is a bad idea, as we may not be able to edit them out and having irrelevant props in the themes affects the final output.

What dress should we wear for the family session? Any suggestion.
The outfit for the family session should be matching. The dresses should complement each other and should be from the same colour family. We would recommend you to opt for plain / solid colours like white, blue, grey, black etc. Avoid loud/large prints as it would be distracting.

Is there any chance for me to select the photos that are to be edited?
Yes, you can either leave the selection process to us or request for "sample before edit” at the time of booking or after the shoot. Our team will be shortlisting the photos and "sample before edit” will be shared as per turnaround time and the photos to be edited can be selected. Once you confirm, it will be final and any change will be treated as additional edits and will be charged as per proposal.

FAQ - Birthday Special Memories
When should I schedule a cake smash session?
Cake smash session could be scheduled with us before or after your baby’s birthday, if you would like to use the photograph as a decoration for the birthday party, please factor in 18 days’ turnaround time from the date of shoot for delivering the final edited photos.
Please book the session well in advance with bliss photoart so that slots are available. If you are reading this a bit late, please contact us immediately to check the availability of the slot and the possibility of delivering the full or few photos before the function.
Is cost of the cake included in the package cost? Shall we bring the cake for the cake smash session? Will there be any reduction in the session cost if we bring our cake?
Yes, the package cost includes the cost of the cake - 1kg, fresh cream. If you want special cakes, it can be arranged at an additional cost.
Also, yes, you can bring the cake for the cake smash session. However, it must meet certain standards so that that it would look good in the setup. We will have a discussion on the same during the pre-shoot discussion. If you plan to bring your own cake, Rs 1500 will be reduced from the package cost.

Should we bring the dress for the cake smash? Will you provide it?
Yes, you need to bring the dress for the cake smash. We will not be providing dress for the cake smash as other clients may not be comfortable reusing a dress worn for cake smash.

Any specific dress that should be bought? What would you recommend for the cake smash?
We at bliss photoart would say that a simple dress will be a good choice so that the focus is always on the baby. For girls- tutu's or rompers and for boys- a simple jeans or solid t's and jeans will look great. You can add in hats, neckties, bows or necklaces as well. We would discuss the same before the shoot as the theme/colours/props should match to get the best pictures.

Can the shoot happen at our place?
No, the cake smash will happen only at our Studio at Kalamassery, Kochi. Setting up sessions at client’s place is not practical.
​
May I bring special props (favourite toys, meaningful items)?
Of course, this will make your session unique to you and your family. We'll discuss props upon scheduling your session.
What is the difference between 'Birthday Memories and 'Birthday Cake Smash' packages?
In birthday memories, artificial cake is used in the theme settings whereas in cake smash sessions real cake is given to the baby for smashing and having fun.

Our team will be shortlisting the photos and "sample before edit” will be shared as per turnaround time for you to confirm the photos to be edited.
